Dumplings have existed since the Han Dynasty and through the early beginnings of the Silk Road in 130 BCE, dumplings started spreading across the globe. Over centuries, from Nepal to the Middle East, from the European Evolution, back to the East and Southeast Asian regions, dumplings has evolved over 2,000 years. Indeed, it can be truly be one of the few global foods.
From the humble Jiao Zhi to the Ravioli, from the Buuz to Pozzy, each adoption led to adaptation to the unique cultures, and each bite, no matter where you are, becomes a taste of our histories.
‘Silk Road - World of Dumplings’ hopes to to bring you some of rich historical past. While we cannot offer you all the different types of dumplings on our menu, we will try to feature as many as we can during the course of our existence.
